Thanks to all the media and citizens for your support of the first Rachel’s Kitchen fundraiser for the St. Baldrick’s Foundation. Thanks to your generosity, researchers trying to find a cure for childhood cancer will have another $7800 dollars to put toward their efforts.
Review Journal columnist John L. Smith and his daughter Amelia joined owners Chris & Stacy Connors , and dozens of supporters and shavees at The District for Saturday’s great event. Shavees ranged in age from kindergarteners to grandparents, all wanting to support children fighting cancer.
Emcee’s included Las Vegas entertainer/comedian Carla Rea, Fox 5 reporter Lauren Murphy, and KLAS 8 News Now reporter Calvert Collins. Longtime newscaster Kim Sherwood Schofield also helped emcee the event.
